Crane's Roost Park - Altamonte Springs, FL - 3/15/2017

(HIKE IT BABY)

Today I hosted a hike for "Hike It Baby". It was so cold outside (for us Floridians). At the time of this hike it was 48 degrees outside and 20 MPH winds. It ended up just being my daughter and I on today's hike. So we bundled up really tight and completed our 2 miles.

There is an amphitheatre here, and almost every week there are different events and musicians playing here.

This boardwalk was recently renovated. It looks almost the same, but does have better landscaping and is a little wider in many places.

Such a pretty view, the way the sun reflected off the water. But super cold!

There are two sides of bridge/boardwalks. Each as viewing tents with benches lining each side.

Many people were feeding the birds, and I tried to capture the turtles but unfortunately I didn't get a picture of one.

This park is located right at the heart of Altamonte Springs. It has hotels, office buildings, and an apartment complex that surrounds it.

During the spring and summer, you will find lots of couples and families having picnics here. It a perfect place for a picnic.

And, you get a great view of what we like to call "The I-4 Eye Soar". It's a building hat has been under construction for 10+ years and it's still not done!

The beautiful trees here are very green.

Lots of weddings are held under the bell tower here. Good thing there wasn't one planned for today because it would've been miserable out.

The flowers were blossoming everywhere!

At this point, my camera died. I forgot to charge it before leaving this morning. I do plan on hiking this again and having a fully charged camera to capture all the moments.

This is a hike I would recommend to everyone. It's easy, family friendly, stroller friendly, and if you check the events page you might be able to hike this path while a festival is going on!
